I did my set-up and sound check in the morning and return to start my shift at 4:00 pm.
Evening schedule was:
4:30 PM - Cocktail Hour
6:00 PM - Bridal Party Introductions
6:15 PM - First Dances - Bride/Groom
6:30 PM - Dinner Served
7:30 PM - Speeches throughout dessert
8:00 PM - First Dances - Parents
8:10 PM - Dancing Begins
12:00 AM - Reception Ends
Music I played was some 70's, 80's & 90's Rock hits and current dancing music. From 8:30 pm till closing time dance floor was full most of the time.
Only downside was that my DJ table was set-up in the corner and there were two guest tables in front of my dj table and this is not the most ideal set-up. Ideally I would like that the table should be either on the edge or no further than 5 feet from the dance floor and unimpeded by guest tables. Sound levels can be high to accommodate dancing and this will eliminate uncomfortable sound for guests seated between the dance floor and the DJ.
This was a fun evening for most of the guest that attended.
